My Professional Journey.

Over the years, I’ve worn many hats — developer, mentor, code wizard, and occasional firefighter when things got spicy. From whipping up front-end frameworks that make GOV.UK proud to pioneering AI-powered tools that make devs’ lives easier, every project has pushed me to level up. Here’s a no-fluff timeline of my key career milestones.

  1. Lead Software Engineer – Kerv Digital

Officially leveled up to Lead Software Engineer. Now trusted to make the big calls, keep the ship steady, and still write code that doesn’t scream “why tho?” at 2am.

Took charge of major initiatives including LLM-integrated dev tooling and schema-driven UIs, and basically made the dev experience feel like magic (but with fewer rabbits and more Git branches).

Mentored engineers across the board from fresh grads to seasoned devs, running code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and sprinkling in the occasional dad joke to keep morale dangerously high.

Served as the go-between for devs and non-devs (read: The Translator™), aligning technical delivery with stakeholder expectations while keeping both sides from building a rocket when we just needed a bike.

  2. Senior Software Engineer – Kerv Digital (formerly CloudThing Ltd.)

Developed a front-end framework using Next.js and JSON schemas that let us crank out GOV.UK-compliant sites like we were printing stickers.

Automated the boring stuff with CI/CD in Azure DevOps, deployments got faster, errors got rarer, and Fridays got slightly less terrifying.

Ran code reviews and mentoring like a dev dojo — sharpening skills, removing blockers, and helping juniors go from “uhh, how do I git?” to confident contributors.

Worked cross-functionally with designers, BAs, stakeholders, and anyone else brave enough to use Jira, aligning technical builds with actual business needs.

Advocated for accessibility, performance, and clean code like it was a personal crusade because what good’s a website if it’s slow, broken, or unreadable?

Got my hands dirty with AI-assisted front-end workflows way before it was cool, pushing for productivity gains and helping future-proof our stack.

  3. Software Engineer – Kerv Digital (formerly CloudThing Ltd.)

Built slick UIs with React and GraphQL for an online learning platform, boosted UX, retention, and probably someone's grades.

Helped launch a graph-powered analytics platform and made supply chains actually make sense for once. Clients were happy. So was the data.

Got cozy with Azure, React, and .NET to build cloud-native apps, scalable, maintainable, and probably still running (fingers crossed).

Helped onboard new devs, shared best practices, and made sure nobody pushed straight to main... more than once.

Tackled technical debt like it owed me money, cleaned up legacy code and modernized patterns across projects.

Partnered with stakeholders to turn vague ideas into clean, deployable features, and politely said “no” to impossible timelines (most of the time).
